Environment Specialist for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) of the World Bank
Vladislava Nemova is currently an Environment Specialist for the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) of the World Bank. Since joining the World Bank in 2002, Vladislava has recently managed Bank-funded activities to improve forest management in Belarus and Russia. From 2008, she has been involved in the implementation of the Regional Program, funded by EU, the FLEG II Program aimed to improve forest law enforcement and governance in 7 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine, which have all together more than 20% of the world’s forests. Also in her focus are analytic and advisory activities on cross-sectoral issues of the bioenergy, climate change adaptation and mitigation of the forests in ECA region.
