Chief Specialist at Forest Research Institute , Department of Forestry Management
Throughout his professional career, irrespective of his job responsibilities and the position he held, spatial information systems, decision supporting systems and IT in forestry have always been his core interest. He graduated Forest Faculty at Poznań University of Life Sciences, Informatics Faculty at College of Management in Wrocław and UNIGIS Faculty at Paris Lodron University in Salzburg. Participant of international internships in Canada (Pacific Forestry Center – Canadian Forest Service) and Austria (Österreichische Bundesforste AG), presently employed at Forest Research Institute. His interests are further evidenced by the award granted in 2009 by ESRI (Special Achievement in GIS) to the project coordinated by him, “GIS System for the Forest Promotional Complex Western Sudety Mountains” and by the another award granted in 2014 by ESRI (Special Achievement in GIS) to the project coordinated also by him, “Forest Information System Covering the Areas of the Sudety and the Western Beskidy Mountains within the Scope of Forest Condition Monitoring and Assessement”. In his daily work, he is interested mainly in the practical use of IT, GIS, and cutting-edge remote sensing techniques.
