Peter is a chartered forester and a chartered surveyor. A graduate of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in ‘forest management’ in 2003, Peter has also gained an MSc from both from Imperial College, London in 2004 in ‘Forest Protection and Conservation’, and latterly in Tampere University of applied sciences, Finland, in ‘International Forestry’ in 2019.
Peter’s early career was spent in Scotland in timber harvesting, followed by a period in Wales working in forestry management. After a year spent in Finland in forestry property sales in 2012, Peter returned to the UK to join the Tilhill ‘Investment and Property’ (I&P) team. Since 2013 Peter has a member of the I&P team been focused on advisory consultancy to investors for UK forestry and land for carbon afforestation. As at 2021 Peter took on leadership of the I&P team and is responsible for forestry, land and carbon investment services in the UK for Tilhill.
