Mark’s career has centered on the business aspects of sustainable forestry in the US Pacific Northwest and Latin America. His expertise lies in combining forestry field experience with sound financial analysis, resulting in enhanced productivity for forestry projects. He focuses on forestland transactions and oversight of forestry operations in Latin America for absentee owners. Mark provides a bridge between good business and good forestry through consulting, facilitating transactions, and marketing. He has worked in nearly every country in Central and South America. 

Past work experience before World Forest Investment, Inc. includes: Merrill & Ring (forest operations, acquisitions and dispositions), Campbell Global (acquisitions, operations, and dispositions), Farm Credit Bank (lending on and appraising forestland), and US Forest Service (field forester).  Mark holds a Bachelor’s in Forestry, with business emphasis, from the University of Idaho.
