Dr Jussi Rasinmäki, CEO and Partner at Simosol, has an extensive experience in the field of biomass resource analysis and planning. Having earned is PhD from the Department of Forestry in University of Helsinki in forest management planning.
He has worked with teams at Simosol on projects in five continents to put the research into practise. The projects range from mapping the bioenergy potential of whole nations to optimising the sustainable wood sourcing of a sawmill to visualising the carbon exchange of a single tree. The common theme across these projects is how computational tools can be used to optimise the value chain.
