Jonathan is a professional forester and forestry scientist with extensive experience in both the commercial and research sectors. He holds a BSc (Hons), an MSc with distinction in forest growth and yield modelling and a PhD in Forestry (University of Canterbury, NZ). Jonathan has developed forest mensuration, remote sensing, and yield prediction systems for clients throughout the world. Jonathan has significant expertise in statistical modelling, sampling design, and natural resource assessment, and has expert knowledge of remote sensing and its application to forest management. Prior to joining Margules Groome Jonathan was a Senior Scientist at Scion (New Zealand Forest Research Institute) he focussed on integrating novel remote sensing tools into forest measurement and monitoring systems for the commercial forestry sector.
